The Keeping Active Group is dedicated to supporting the prevention of chronic health conditions from young children to older adults. The program is designed to instill the ‘keeping active’ values of maintaining a healthy lifestyle so participants can continue to do the things they love doing, without health becoming a limitation to living their best life.
We provide you the foundations needed to keep active while enjoying guidance from University qualified exercise specialist’s, in a safe, fun, non intimidating environment. The keeping active programs include fun, flexible and functional fitness sessions targeted for young children and older adults to keep active and live their best life.
We focus on not just improving physical activity participation in a community but also improving the standard of living to thrive in society.
The power of movement provides a less formal education on the importance on overall health and well-being while also reducing the risk of chronic disease, illness and injuries
The organisation aims to support young and aged individuals increase opportunity to be physically active in small towns, rural setting and socio-economic settings that are somewhat isolated from a social exercise setting.
The program provides the tools and resources to continue physical activity even when an individual can’t make it to a session due to other commitments and holidays. These include pre recorded workout videos and a keeping active exercise book.
